Raised in Qatar in the Middle East, Mehrdad’s exposure to the rapidly developed market of Qatari Industry, and strong connections to the distribution and retailing leaders played a huge role in his interest to branch out, and work closely with the source of his interest - farmers. One of the first of his kind, as a uniquely California-centric sourcer and exporter of quality product to Qatar and the United Arab Emirates specifically, Gourmet Fruits International has developed a reliable and unparalleled foothold in the region.
